As busy as I've ever been......

It started with Charlie Sheen and a Fiat spot last month.  Artie did some crazy stuff with Fiat's (drove them under water and mounted them to jet skis) and ran them all over the beach.  Me, James, Brett and Artie got some cool stuff and came up with a pretty awesome (and really funny) spot.

Charlie Sheen, by the way is super cool, super funny and totally Charlie Sheen 24/7.  He was a professional and a real kick to work with.

Then me, Brett and our home boy Keith shot a music video for a new Latin group called 'FANS' for Sony.  I should have a final color corrected version to post in a few days.

Then Brett and I did steadicam and shot 2nd unit with J-lo and Pit Bull for 'Live it UP'.  I got to work with the legendary Daniel Pearl of 450 some odd music videos including November Rain, Every Breath You Take and probably the best music video ever shot, Meat Loaf's 'I'd do Anything for Love'.  He was also a true professional and a lot of fun to work with.  He let me do some really fun stuff with the Steadicam and the Techno Crane.  That spot turned out amazing.

Greg and I then did a 3 day spot for Cialis (all kinds of jokes I can make here) but got to work with a really great crew including director / actor Edward Burns.  We also had a great shoot and I got a chance to use the prototype for for my new HyperCam3 (more on that in a later post).  It worked really well and based on those tests, I started production of my first run of 10 for sale.  Here's a picture of the Prototype in action:

I then (because I'm a glutton for punishment) did an episode of 'Real House Wives of Miami'.  Basically one of the cast was getting married and they wanted to jazz up the photography for the wedding and reception.  I worked a split shift that almost turned into a hard night (the bride was two and a half hours late for her own wedding).  I went home and got a few hours of sleep before I started the 'big job'...

So the 'big job' of the month was HTC phones with Robert Downy Jr.  I can not say enough about how awesome RDJ is!  Total professional, amazing actor, fantastic person, funny, smart, great timing super pleasant to be around.  Several times on the 4 day shoot he came up to me after watching playback at video village and complimented me on a shot.  He brought along some very funny character actors and they played off of each other beautifully.  I can not wait for the edit on that spot.  Me, Brett, Greg, Chuk, Cortney, Carla, Sean and James worked a lot of hours but I'm sure the final product will be worth it

I finished up the run with good old Burn Notice.  Me, Brett and Artie did some MotoCam with the new HC3 in proper low mode.  I'm so impressed with how low mode works on the new rig that I may just shoot everything in low mode from now on and just raise the arm for higher shots.  I'm really excited to get the production models and start shipping them out to their owners.

The HC3 can finally shoot so low I can actually scrape the ground with the bottom of the rig...  Now that is low!

I'm off to my second home Jamaica to DP another Lime (Jamaica's version of At&T) spot next week.  More on the FANS video and the HC3 in the next post.
